Most of you know we are on the verge of updating our house. We have been planning and replanning on how we want our new kitchen and bathrooms plus the other rooms. Only thing is that we didn't plan on starting with the closets, they were full! Hence the title of this first page on my blog.
Huge HAIL in June led the insurance adjuster to say we needed to replace our two year old roof all the way down to new sheeting. The roofers finally got here four weeks later in July. Four days of HAMMERS pounding (5 of them) tearing off the old and installing the new gave me a never-ending HEADACHE, so I got out of there. David couldn't get away, so I took off on my own for three days to Topeka to visit and play with most of my kids and grandkids. Angela's family couldn't be here but she and here two youngest were here in May. We had a great time!
Jordan and James rode back with me to load up a U-Haul truck with James belongings for his move back t0 California. Jordan rode with him then flew back home to Topeka. I really miss seeing his jeep and lights across the street and having him pop in to visit.
So where does HUMONGOUS come in? When I got home all that pounding had knocked loose decades of dirty grey dust from the attic and walls into the upstairs, especially in the closets only one of which was finished decently. Everything, and I do mean everything, on hangers and shelves add up to a humongous laundry job! So we'll sort through everything as we empty the closets and redo the walls before putting it all back. Well---most of it. Probably take a month or more since I don't seem to move as fast as I ustadid.
Oh, well, the best laid plans get goofed up! More later, now that James helped me get this up and talked me through it three times already just to get this much written.
